Join us for a 3hr historical stumble down the "street of shame". Starting in the shadow of the iconic St.Paul's cathedral, we explore the tiny backstreets and rambling courtyards the ancient City of London is famous for. We follow in the drunken footsteps of literary greats including Dickens, Shakespeare, Pepys & Johnson whilst pausing for a drink in at least 4 of the most historic pubs dating as far back as the 1500's. From discovering art nouveau gems to glamorous Victorian gin palaces we enjoy a variety of pub styles and breweries along the way. It's not a prescriptive tour, so you choose & pay for your drinks along the way. We're here to offer recommendations, and you can often "sip before you sup" with a few tasters on request from the bars along the way. This allows you to indulge as much or as little as you desire! Non-drinkers can soak up the history, and wine & gin-lovers are also well catered for. We usually finish up on the edge of Covent Garden perfect for theatre-land, restaurants and of course more pubs! Other note: - Guests are recommended to be over 18 years of age to enjoy the walk at its best. Experience the freedom of exploring London by bike, just like a local, and get an exciting introduction to the best of London's landmarks and culture. We'll provide you with a gorgeous, hand-built British bicycle and a tweed flat cap (caps optional, helmets also available) and we'll set off on an adventure around London’s iconic sights and lesser-known hidden gems. Following back streets and dedicated bike lanes, you'll ride from Big Ben past Westminster Abbey and up to Buckingham Palace, the home of the Queen, where we'll see the Royal Guards in their dapper uniforms. (Changing of the Guard days: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, & Sundays) You'll coast along (London is very flat!) at an easy-going pace, stopping regularly to hear fun facts and some quirky historical tales. There's time to take photos too! We'll then take a break to enjoy a pint of beer at a cosy historic pub where you can get to know your fellow travellers. Lastly, you'll have a chance to try street art in Banksy's graffiti tunnel (and we provide spray paint!). We've designed this route to give you the best introduction to London. Join me as we venture into the magical wizarding world of Harry Potter in London! On this walking tour of London's streets we will watch clips from the movies while I regale you with behind-the-scenes stories of those locations and how they were used in the film series. Our first stop will be the entrance to Diagon Alley, before we pop down to see the Ministry of Magic, and find out which Leaky Cauldron has the best tacos, as well as others I don't want to spoil here. I will also share some of the strangest, funniest non-HP facts I've learned about London along the way. We will finish at Borough Market, London's top street food destination, with King's Cross just a separate Tube ride away. PLEASE be aware the tour is offered in English only, and it is largely story-based, so a better-than-basic conversational grasp of English is essential. While witches and wizards of all ages are welcome, due to the amount of walking and the content, I more recommend it for ages 11+. Strictly one person per slot. No exceptions. Learn the art of wax carving and sculpting to form your very own unique silver ring, in this widely used jewellery making technique. Carving wax gives you endless options to freely design whatever ring you want, as you are not limited to a silver wire or strip. This technique allows you to create something 3D, abstract, classic, chunky, geometric or organic, so you can let your imagination run wild! The workshop begins with a short introduction to the lost wax process and its uses. We will inform you about basic tips and tricks on how to design a comfortable ring. Showing you various techniques and tools that can be used. You will then start by designing/sketching out your ring, (samples and images will be available for inspiration) before beginning to carve your wax. Once you’re happy with your finished carving we will show you how to prepare it for casting. After the workshop your wax carved ring will be cast, finished and polished by The Ringsmiths using recycled silver. You will be contacted once it’s ready for collection or we can post it out to you. If you wish to have your ring gold plated, stone set, engraved or have your wax cast in solid gold then this will be at an additional cost and can be paid for and decided on the day (adds extra lead time) Your finished silver ring will be ready for collection or posting within 3 working weeks after the class.

Learn the basics of screen printing onto fabric with paper stencils at my fully equipped studio in a converted Victorian Chocolate Factory in Hackney N16. Enjoy a relaxing, creative time in this wonderful pattern-filled space and discover all the tips and tricks to pulling your very own print! I will guide you through the whole process and we'll each try a quick sample print onto fabric, to spark ideas and show you the ropes. You'll then have time to create paper stencils using scissors and/or scalpel, ready to print your final unique design onto either a tote bag or tea towel. Be creative with the many examples, stencils and imagery on display in my studio or bring along your own drawings, photos and ideas to work from. No experience necessary as wonderful prints can be made from very simple shapes and patterns! All inks are water-based and solvent-free. Price includes a choice of tote bag or tea towel for each participant. Most dates are currently set as private bookings, so you can enjoy the class with exclusive one to one tuition or share the experience with friends and family. Please make sure to add the correct number of guests attending to view the final cost of the workshop. Children are also very welcome to attend age 7 and above. I will give you a brief history of the Spanish tradition of Churros con Chocolate and tell you about my favourite places to eat them in Spain. Also, because we will be having the experience in a unique London setting of my houseboat, I will be happy to share what it's like to live as part of the East London boaters community too! I will show you the ingredients we will be using and which ones work better than others. Due to my limited space, I will be showing you how to cook/ prepare the dish for most of the time, but you will have a chance to play around with the dough - the fun bit - and see how it looks sizzling in the oil. The next part is making the delicious thick drinking chocolate which we will make from scratch - nothing comes out of a packet in my little boat kitchen! The ingredients can be made vegan very easily. The perfect experience for couples or adults with kids. Please note due to my space restrictions 3 guests is a comfortable number, however I can allow 4 if requested, please ask. Finally you will be able to eat the churros con chocolate whilst they are still hot, either upstairs in the pretty wheelhouse or the covered deck, a cute little space full of charm with views of the water - you may even see a duck floating past too!
