Shuck Oysters on the Harbor
Our life philosophy is EAT ANYTHING, ANYWHERE. We like eating some of the best foods, in odd places. We will meet on the docks of East Boston where we will tear into and slurp dozens of local oysters, harvested by our oyster farmer friends, while looking over the harbor and skyline. You will learn how to properly shuck an oyster and will go home with a shucking knife of your own. The memories will be in the details. We will set up in "flash-mob" "pop-up" style along the water. Expect the unexpected. Other things to note This is an outdoor experience. To get to the dock, I encourage you to take a water taxi! There are several pick-up points and I am happy to help arrange this for you.
Walk Your Way Through Boston's History
We will start our tour at the Lenox hotel in the heart of the Back Bay neighborhood, and will end at historic Faneuil Hall where there are endless places to eat and explore after the tour. Not only will we visit the famous Boston Freedom Trail, but also hidden treasures not covered on other tours. My tour runs approximately 2 1/2 hours. Unlike some other walking tours, I try to cover as much of Boston as possible. The walk is not fast paced, but we do cover about two miles. Wear comfortable shoes. The Back Bay - Explore one of Boston's most famous neighborhoods. Home to some of Boston's most beautiful buildings such as the Boston Public Library and the Trinity Church. Boston Public Garden - Visit the beautiful gardens, and say hello to the Swan Boats, and the Make Way for Ducklings statues! If you come during the right time of year, they may even be donning some accessories! Boston Common - Bask in the freedom of the oldest public park in the United States. Cheers Bar - Where everybody knows your name. Beacon Hill - View Boston's most historic neighborhood. Complete with original brick sidewalks and gas lanterns (you can thank some friendly 20th-century neighborhood rioters for those bricks). The New State House - Is as impressive as the political debates inside...we think.

Bloodlust: Mysteries of Victorian Boston
Explore a true crime murder mystery in quaint, post-Civil War Boston. In the late 1800s, Boston experienced a rash of gruesome murders and unexplained phenomena. People were accused of being witches and vampires, and of conversing with the dead, all while a serial murder lurked just out of sight. Looking for a time that isn't listed? Send me a message and maybe we can work something out. While we made pioneering strides in the new fields of forensics and toxicology, we hosted mad scientists and psychologists who treated the mentally ill in unsavory ways. The background for a number of historic movies and shows, the country’s largest Victorian neighborhood, the South End is all within a few blocks of Copley Square and Back Bay. Buried beneath this neighborhood's eye-catching English gardens and breathtaking brick rowhouses, the Gothic churches and strange statuary that tourist rarely see, is a unique experience you won’t want to miss. There will be some graphic discussion of violence and murder. Participant discretion is advised.
The Revolutionary Story Tour
A complete retelling of the American story from the founding of Boston to the Declaration of Independence. Unlike most tours which limit themselves exclusively to what's on the Freedom Trail - walking from one end to the other and providing short highlights and separate overviews of each stop - this tour pulls everything together into an immersive citywide narrative: recreating the drama and recapturing the energy that invented America. We visit 14 (of 16) iconic Freedom Trail landmarks in the same order in which the history unfolded, bringing to life the passions, personalities, and psychologies behind world changing events like The Boston Massacre, Boston Tea Party, Midnight Ride of Paul Revere, and Battle of Bunker Hill. We also explore all of Boson's original neighborhoods (including those not on the Freedom Trail) covering both the major sights and the hidden gems so you'll enjoy the charm of the old town while getting a real sense of the beautiful and booming modern city as well. No big crowds or silly costumes. The story incorporates insights from the most prestigious scholars in the field and is presented with light-hearted humor and enthusiasm; it will be equally educational as entertaining for history buffs and newcomers alike. Goat Snuggle Session in Rhode Island
Must love goats is our motto here at Hidden Brook Acres! Come explore the daily happenings on a dairy goat farm nestled in the forests of Rhode Island. Immerse yourself in the presence of our nigerian dwarf goats, the miniature breed of dairy goat. Goat snuggling is always a big hit with adults and children alike! Come spend some time sitting in the pasture with our herd. Depending on the season we could be on dry lot (dirt paddock) or green grass. This experience guarantees time relaxing in a field of goats, observing herd dynamics, an educational Q&A with a knowledgeable goat farmer. Relax with the herd in the barn or bring a blanket along and sit with goats in the pasture. Our goats really enjoy the company and might even rest on the ground with you. This is an outdoor experience and weather might impact your visit; we do not operate during inclement weather. We love pets but for everyone’s safety we cannot allow visiting pets to the farm. Please feel free to b.y.o.b. just note our herd is underage. We also have a farm stand that is open for purchasing hand crafted goat milk soaps and other goods sourced right here on the farm! Don't see availability on the calendar? Feel free to send us a request for a specific date/time and we will do our best to accommodate. Expect to get dirty and dress in clothing that you don't mind having hoof prints on!

Lexington and Concord Secrets Revealed
We will start the tour on Lexington Green, where the conflict between the British soldiers and patriots began one fateful morning. We will recount stories about that day, some familiar and many not that well known, while we visit several other historic Lexington sites, like the house where Paul Revere was told to be quiet as he was spreading the alarm. We will then head toward Concord, making several stops along the way at locations with many other surprising tales that may be contrary to common lore. In Concord we will visit the Old North Bridge and learn about the heroic and tragic events that took place at the bridge and surrounding area. On the return leg we will visit several little known but very significant sites with their own stories to tell. We will complete the adventure where we started, on Lexington Green, to talk about the horrific British retreat to Boston. Guests will gain a new appreciation of that historic day, when a group of poorly trained and poorly equipped, but highly motivated farmers and tradespeople stood up to the greatest military force in the world. Now that it is October, we will also be able to appreciate some New England fall color. I hope you will be surprised and entertained by these tales that don't often get told.

Enjoy the sensory experience of forest bathing
A forest bathing session is a two-hour, guided program designed to encourage mindfulness and facilitate the participant’s deep connection with nature. You will be invited to awaken your senses, slow down, and make a deep connection with the forest. Your journey begins with a meditation designed to connect with your senses. This is a wonderful group activity for the whole family! Children of all ages, parents and grandparents are welcome. Every experience is unique and does not require any equipment or special skills. The only physical requirement is that participants are able to walk for approximately one mile on a trail with uneven terrain (with breaks along the way) and some inclines. This is an inclusive activity. Please let me know if someone in your group has mobility issues as this experience can be adapted. **NOTE** If you prefer to schedule your session on a date/time not listed, please message me; I can likely accommodate you. Sunset kayak tour
We launch from Millway Beach, then we head towards the great marsh. We will pass through a couple of mooring fields admiring the small sailboat along the way. When we reach the marsh, we will regroup then work our way through several loops within the marsh with plenty of chances to spot wildlife, such as foxes, osprey, sandpipers, horseshoe crabs, snails, hermit crabs and many more. Halfway through, you will have the opportunity to explore by yourself or you can use the time to rest and enjoy a snack. From this point, we will exit the loop and let the current help guide us back to Millway Beach.
