During the tour, we will tell you about the history of the place and its importance to the sustainability of Mexico City. In your way, you will recognize the biological richness like birds, snakes, frogs and plants. We will arrive at a chinampa where you can get your hands dirty experiencing the ancestral technique of cultivation and discovering why it is considered a world heritage. Also, you will get involve in the diary activities in the chinampa like crop irrigation, harvest or seeding. Before going back to land, you will have time to relax and enjoy the peace of the place. Pool Tranquility: Start your day relaxing a while in the “pocitos”; naturally warm thermal pools that provide astounding views that soothe & clear the body and mind –perfect for “the gram.” River Relaxation: Next, the turquoise-colored river is well-managed and is naturally warm due to the thermal springs, a complete relaxing experience. You will learn about local and ancient traditions while we cook together a local delicacy in a traditional boat in the idyllic Xochimilco canals. At 9:30 am we will pick you up at your stay if is a private group or in a midpoint if there are two or more groups on the reservation, from there a private transport will drive you to central Xochimilco. After I welcome you with a traditional coffee at Dalia (a women cultural collective coffee shop) we will walk to Xochimilco farmers market to choose fresh vegetables for our lunch. From there we will aboard a pedicab, a local transport that will take us to the pier to board a Trajinera (traditional colorful boat) to start exploring the mesmerizing canals. You will understand how ancient pre-Columbian communities lived in harmony with nature and while we talk about our present traditions, we will cook (and then eat) a local delicacy, a tamal called Tlapique paired with toritos (fruit juice with mezcal). Before we end our journey, we will visit an Axolotl sanctuary. Axolotls are Xochimilco´s endemic salamanders, listed as a endanger species and used extensively in scientific research due to their ability to regenerate limbs, gills and brains. We will finish our journey in Dalia café at 2:00 pm from there you can take a taxi/uber to your next destination or keep exploring the amazing center of Xochimilco

Xochimilco ha sido declarado Patrimonio Cultural de la Humanidad, por su riqueza histórica y cultural. Nuestro recorrido está enfocado de manera respetuosa con la comunidad y el medio ambiente es decir es: cultural, histórico y ecológico, este no es un tour de barcos de fiesta. VEREMOS: La Catedral, construida en el siglo XVI. Después visitaremos el mercado principal donde verán piñatas y diversos productos, frutas y verduras. Después visitaremos una pulquería típica donde probaremos "pulque" una bebida milenaria, prehispánica, con 4 grados de alcohol, elaborada con la sabia fermentada de una planta de agave, si no bebes alcohol no te preocupes tenemos opciones sin alcohol. Finalizaremos con un relajante paseo de 1.5 horas en bote "trajinera", iremos por unos canales ecológicos bellos y tranquilos, durante el paseo podrán apreciar la fauna: patos, garzas y ajolotes. Con nuestro amigo Mario aprenderemos sobre agricultura y construcción de las islas flotantes "chinampas" que se siguen usando para el cultivo de flores, verduras y árboles. Bajaremos a conocer una chinampa en donde está la réplica de la isla de las muñecas para escuchar las leyendas sobre fantasmas que hay en Xochimilco. Tendremos un delicioso lunch de quesadillas en el lago donde tenemos opciones con carne veganas y vegetarianas que te van a encantar! Finalizaremos con más sorpresas divertidas!

If you’re interested in taking the hot air balloon, please dm us so we can help u with the arrangements & you can still joins us for the tour We’ll start they day by meeting us in the heart of La Condesa (Parque México at 7:30am) Then we’ll drive for 50 min to our GRANDMA's house where our family will be waiting for us with the most tasty CAFE DE OLLA, HOT CHOCOLATE, MEXICAN TEA/FRUIT & PAN DE DULCE With the bellies full, we’ll go to the pyramids (10min ride) where we would love to explain you everything we studied (BA) & learned about the Ancient Civilizations who built Teotihuacan (we’ll bring IPads to show visuals so it helps us to understand how beautiful was in its prime) At 12pm (after burning some calories) we’ll go back to our grandma’s house where we will share the TWO TREASURES we have in our family THE RED AND THE GREEN MOLE The red mole recipe it’s been for 3 generations in my family and it has 52 ingredients & for the green it’s my mom's creation so you’ll try the Teacher and the Student!! BTW THIS MOLE IS FRIENDLY IF YOU’RE VEGAN/VEGETARIAN and if you have allergies we can accommodate tasty options For dessert we will have an amazing PULQUE TASTING!! where you’ll get to try 4 kinds of pulque (including distilled versions) that we proudly produce in our FAMILY Finally we’ll go back to CDMX arriving between 3-3:30pm

Our Masterclass is a highly interactive Experience during which one of our expert, in-house Mixologists takes you on a sensory journey through the creation of 3 mezcal-based cocktails. We start with a short simple tasting to introduce you to the basics of the spirit then before you know it, you'll be layering flavours and building the cocktail of your dreams based on your own tastes and choices, all whilst mastering some cheeky tricks of the trade along the way. For the doubters out there who're not sure whether or not they even like mezcal... let us help you fall in love, you won't be dissappointed! And for those who prefer the virgin alternative, we can happily guide you through the creation of delicious mocktails instead. The entire Experience takes place in our beautiful, purpose-designed private bar, Salón Rosario, in the charismatic and central neighbourhood of Roma Norte. A completely safe space where you can simply relax and enjoy. Please note that we do not provide food so recommend that you eat something beforehand... our cocktails are not for the faint-hearted! Our mixed, public groups have a capacity of 8 and in general are at 4pm and 8pm everyday. For private groups we can host up to 24 participants and wherever possible, are happy to schedule the time of day that best suits you - get in touch to coordinate.
